KUALA LUMPUR–Palm-oil inventories in Malaysia, the world's
second-largest producer after Indonesia, reached 1.98 million metric tons at
the end of November, a level not seen since March, as export demand dipped,
data from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board showed Tuesday.
The figure represents an increase of 7.2% from the previous
month.
Crude palm-oil output in November fell 5.6% from the
previous month to 1.86 million tons and exports were down 8.7% on month at 1.52
million tons, the industry regulator said in its monthly report.
